Vamos a trer al blog también a los más jóvenes, en casa me estánd ando la lata para que lo haga, así que hoy voy a complacerles.

Calum Heaslip Arredondo (Granada, España, 2002) es un cantante español con ascendencia irlandesa y con un gran torrente de voz y una excepcional capacidad de interpretación. Saltó a la fama con el conocido programa televisivo La Voz Kids en España. Con tan solo trece años puede decir que lleva casi media vida cantando. Es la historia de Calum Heaslip, un chico español que lucha por hacerse un hueco entre las estrellas de la música. Aunque nació en Granada, tierra natal de Loli, su madre, se trasladó con su familia a Palma de Mallorca. Allí comenzó a recibir clases para aprender a tocar la guitarra cuando contaba solo cinco años. 

Esto le abrió las puertas de la discográfica Pep’s Records, con más de veinte años de experiencia y gran descubridora de talentos –Malú, Los Caños, Kiko y Shara, Melocos, Manu Tenorio o Gemeliers han pasado por sus filas–. En otoño de 2014 publicó su primer sencillo, “Turn it up”, producido por Daniel Embrojo –compositor de canciones para Bisbal y Auryn, por citar algunos ejemplos–. El éxito llamaba a sus puertas y Calum le dejó pasar. Rápidamente consiguió introducirse en las principales emisoras de radio del país. Posteriormente llegaría “Hey Babe” y varios conciertos como telonero. El 17 de febrero de 2015 edita su álbum debut, Hey Babe, que también ha sido producido por Embrojo. Toda una bocanada de aire fresco en el pop juvenil procedente de España.
