También hoy le debo el post a mi amigo Arcendo. Como buen amante de la música, también él dedica una buena parte de su blog a ella. Ayer ofrecía una magnífica selección de baladas (enlace), he dedicido robarle una, para traerla aquí. Aún no había puesto nada de esa gran voz que fue Amy Winehouse. El tema se titula Body and soul y está acompañada por otro grande Tony Bennett. Una preciosidad de canción.

Me encanta que mis amigos me recomienden cosas, siempre lo he considerado como un gesto de amistad cariñoso. Esta página siempre estará abierta a recibir , aquello que queráis compartir.  Así que hoy traigo al blog una recomendación que me hace mi gran y estimado amigo Arcendo (enlace) .

Se trata del grupo Turin Brakes, que no concocía, con el tema Chim Chim Cher-ee. Una de las canciones preferidas de Arcendo, de la gran película de Disney, Mary Poppyns.Además, me dice que: " esta canción también fue utilizada para un corto sobre los sin techo estadounidenses, fue un video muy premiado en circulos independientes y está muy bien hecho".

Turin Brakes es un dúo , compuesto por Olly Knights y Gale Paridjanian, procedentes de Balham , Londres.

Es una, de mis piezas clásicas preferidas : «E lucevan le stelle (Y brillaban las estrellas)» es una famosa romanza para tenor de la ópera Tosca, compuesta por Giacomo Puccini, con libreto de Luigi Illica y Giuseppe Giacosa, estrenada el 14 de enero de 1900 en el teatro Costanzi de Roma.

El tema de hoy es de Matthew Mayfield. Se titula Open Road.Mattew Mayfield es un compositor y cantante americano originario de Birmingham, Alabama. Originalmente era el vocalista de la banda "Moses Mayfield", la cual se separó en 2008. Matthew comenzó su carrera solista a partir de ese año. Anunció el lanzamiento de su EP "The Fire EP" el 25 de Agosto de 2008.

Cuando oí por primera vez, el tema "Tu chiami una vita", perteneciente a la banda sonora de la película Washington Square, quedé encadenado a él; creo que para siempre. Me encanta.

La banda sonora de la película Washington Square, del año 1997,es del gran compositor polaco, Jan A.P. Kaczmarek, quien en sus bandas sonoras, utiliza  el piano como protagonista, en melodías suaves y agradables al oido. Toda una delicia, escuchar cualquier obra de este magistral músico. La película es un remake de La heredera, protagonizada por Olivia de Havilland y Montgomery Clift.
