Westlife, saca nuevo álbum "Wild Dreams" preludio de ello es el sencillo que publicaron titulado "Starlight" y que os presento hoy en  mi entrada del blog.Una canción bañada en la esperanza, con un mensaje optimista antes los tiempos complejos que nos toca vivir. Mirar al futuro con esa premisa es lo que necesitamos.

No había publicado nada en mi blog  de esta banda irlandesa, así que aprovechando la aparición de su nuevo álbum, os presento unas pinceladas. Iniciaron su carrera en 1998. Estaba compuesta inicialmente por Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan y Brian McFadden (este último dejó el grupo en 2004).

Su música está compuesta mayoritariamente de baladas y algunas canciones de pop sueco. El grupo ha obtenido un enorme éxito en el Reino Unido , Asia , Sudamérica , e Irlanda, donde los números uno conseguidos en la lista de singles superan ya la decena; en el resto del mundo, excepto en Estados Unidos, han logrado también una gran popularidad.

Catorce de sus singles han llegado al número uno de las listas del Reino Unido entre los años 1999 y 2005, estando así solamente por detrás de Elvis Presley y Los Beatles y a la par con Cliff Richard. Sus primeros siete singles entraron directamente en el número uno de las listas.

Han colaborado con artistas de la talla de Mariah Carey y Diana Ross.La banda está formada por : Brian McFadden (1998 – 2004), Kian Egan, Markus Feehily, Nicky Byrne,Shane Filan
