No sé si decir que presento el tema musical principal de una película o que la película está basada en la canción que hoy traigo al blog. "I Can Only Image" es el título de la canción y es también la historia que hay detrás de ella. Se vendieron más de dos millones de copias. Compuesta por Bart Millard, líder de la banda de música cristiana "MercyMe" que ya presenté en este blog. Esta canción dio origen a la película homónima y que en español se ha traducido como "La canción de mi padre"

En esta historia Bart Millard explica su propia experiencia, de la que escapa. Nos habla de como le abandonó su madre y cómo su padre le maltrató. Encontró refugio en la música que le ayudó a sobrevivir en ese mundo que le tocó vivir. La canción va más allá del sufrimiento habla de redención, la película habla precisamente del perdón.

Confieso que aún no he podido verla para opinar sobre ella,pero las críticas que he leído hacen  que la sitúe en una de las que no debo perderme.
